Play ideas for 4-year-olds
Four-year-olds count to twenty, follow simple rules, tell short stories and can use child-safe scissors. They love being in charge of a game.
- Let them make the rules, then follow them.
- Ask open questions: “What do you think will happen?”
- Add a small challenge: one more, faster, higher or quieter.
Safety at 4: A grown-up handles knives, heat and anything electrical. Scissors are child-safe and used sitting down.
